who is cat dooley…

Hi, i’m a creative based in Iowa City with a focus on concert photography and promoting the local arts scene. I’m a recent graduate of the University of Iowa, where I earned a BA in Cinematic Arts and Studio Art.

In addition to my freelance work, I’ve served as the staff photographer at both the Englert Theatre and the Mission Creek Festival for the past three years. These roles have honed my organizational, communication, and creative skills, which I carry into all of my freelance projects. In 2022, I had the privilege of being an official photographer for 80/35 a music festival in Des Moines and was the resident photographer for Scope Productions at the University of Iowa for three years.

Whether behind the camera or brainstorming creative ideas, I’m dedicated to supporting the vibrant arts community and capturing moments that tell compelling stories.
